📣 A petition with nearly 800 signatures is pushing back against the proposal, with opponents concerned about losing public waterfront access, fishing piers and green space. The site’s history center has preserved local artifacts for more than 50 years.
🏗️ St. Lucie County says the museum and its collection would be preserved and relocated if the project moves forward. Officials say the master plan is intended to expand economic development, create jobs and generate county revenue, while Fort Pierce commissioners will have the final say.
