🗑️ Port St. Lucie residents will pay more for trash service beginning Oct. 1. The annual solid waste assessment will increase by $14.83 per dwelling unit, rising from $467.33 to $482.16.
💵 The increase equals approximately $1.24 more per month and will be collected through residents’ property tax bills. City officials said rising labor, equipment, vehicle maintenance and fuel costs contributed to the change.
🚛 The increase comes amid continued concerns about trash service. Voters are expected to decide in November whether to restore twice-weekly garbage pickup.
