🛼 Port St. Lucie residents are rolling into a new chapter after the opening of the city’s first outdoor public roller and inline skating rink at Whispering Pines Park! What started as a grassroots idea from local skaters became a reality in 2025 thanks to community passion and persistence.
🌴 The newly resurfaced Skate City originally opened in 1999 and closed in 2010 before being transformed for a new generation of skaters. Covering 39,000 square feet, the rink is now open daily and free for the public to enjoy.
✨ City leaders and residents worked together to bring the once-closed space back to life, creating an active and inclusive place for all ages. The project highlights how community voices can help shape fun new amenities in Port St. Lucie.
