⚽️ Big news for Port St. Lucie! City leaders approved late last year plans for a city-owned stadium at Walton Road and U.S. 1 that will become home to a new United Soccer League (USL) team. The project signals the arrival of professional soccer to the city and marks a major milestone for the Treasure Coast.
🏟️ The 6,000-seat multi-use venue will host men’s and women’s soccer matches, plus concerts and festivals during the off-season. The project will be funded by developer Ebenezer Holdings and reimbursed through Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) revenue, meaning no taxpayer dollars up front.
🌆 City leaders say the stadium will help spark redevelopment on the east side of Port St. Lucie as part of the Walton & One master plan, with restaurants, shops, hotels, and housing expected to follow. The team—currently known as the Port St. Lucie Sports Club—is expected to kick off its first season in 2027, putting the city on the professional sports map.
